
April 28-29, 1995 – Vancouver, BC, Canada. LDF International Scientific Conference on Lyme Borreliosis and other Spirochetal diseases.
Cosponsors were The British Columbia Lyme Borreliosis Society (Dianne Kindree) and Dr. Banerjee of the British Columbia Center for Disease Control. The conference was held at the request of Dr. Banerjee of the BC CDC. Thus was our first time having a multinational conference with Co-Chairs from Canada (Dr. Banerjee CDC Canada), the USA (Dr. Willy Burgdorfer, LDF Board and NIH employee), and Germany (Bettina Wilske, MD of the Max von Pettenkofer-Institute, Germany).
Judith Miklossy, MD (Switzerland) presented further evidence of the spirochetal etiology of Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Banerjee presented on Borrelia in Atlantic Canada. Julie Rawlings presented on Relapsing Fever in Texas. Ron Schell presented research demonstrating severe destructive Lyme arthritis after vaccination. Dr. Rudy Scrimenti, the actual discoverer of Lyme disease in the USA, presented on the late Lyme skin manifestations know as ACA.
